有一天 , 一個小朋友到狗店裡想買一頭小狗給自己。當他到了狗店後, 店主人便取了幾隻小狗給他作選擇 ; 店主人說 : 「來 ! 小朋友 , 這裡有幾隻小狗,全都是三百元 (HK$300.00) , 任君選擇 !」小朋友一邊看 , 一邊正在挑選 , 當他看見後排有隻小狗時, 他問店主說 :「店主 ! 為什麼那隻小狗走動時拐下，拐下的 ?」店主便回答:「牠是跛腳的 , 所以行走和活動不方便 !」小朋友又說 :「那! 我就要這隻吧。」店主繼續回答:「牠是沒有活動能力的 ! 但既然你十分喜歡牠 ; 就送給你吧 , 不(用)需要錢了 !你把牠取走吧。」小朋友聽後便回應:「為何有缺陷的就不值錢 ? 不 ! 牠與其他小狗一樣是相同的價值的 ! 但我現在沒有這麼多錢 , 我先給你五十元 , 而另外的餘數我則每個月還給你吧 !」這時店主對小朋友說:「小朋友哦 ! 這隻小狗是不能跑得的 ! 牠是不能陪你玩耍 , 你不怕悶嗎 ?」此時 ; 小朋友卻拉高他的另一條褲腳給店主人看 - 及回覆話 :「你看 , 我也是腳殘的 , 所以我很明白牠的感受 ! 牠是很需要我對牠關心和愛護 !」。
故事總結 : 我們要珍惜眼前 ; 不可看輕自己。
